I once had a girlfriend called Jane whom I loved so dearly.  We were so much in love that we were inseparable. We trusted ourselves so much and our relationship was doing well. I had introduced my girlfriend to my family and she had introduced me to hers too. She lived a few blocks near my home and so we spent a lot of time with her. Our bond was growing stronger and stronger day by day. Our friends would admire our relationship since we were so happy and free from dramas or any kind of relationship problems.

One day, she told me that her father secured a job in another state, New York. Originally, both our families lived in California, United States. At first, I thought it was her normal pranks that she used to play on me. Little did I come to realize later that it was indeed real and they were supposed to relocate to New York and live there permanently. This was the most heartbreaking thing I have ever had. I did not want anything to separate us and now that they had to relocate to New York it was going to separate us. I was so worried that it made me so stressed up. The thought of living away from my love and hardly get to see each other would kill me.

She talked to her parents to consider going with me to live with them and they agreed. I was impressed that her family was willing to take me with them to live with them and also offered to get me a school there and pay for my school fees. But I was in a dilemma whether to go live with my girlfriend and her family in New York or stay behind in California with my family. I love my family a lot and I love my girlfriend, Jane so much too. My biggest dilemma was who to side with. My family and Jane are the most important people that I cannot live without. I had to take some time to critically think on whose side I should choose. Eventually, I made a decision that I will remain with my family and let her leave by herself. This is because family is irreplaceable and I had to choose family over anybody else.

The decision I made was based on a concessive critical thinking and made a rational decision to choose family over my girlfriend. This type of decision relates to the one in the fictional depiction whereby the girl, Roxy made a rational decision to give up her thought of being a normal girl and take over the castle for the sake of her family despite that she did not want to do so.
