Evangelism

Evangelism is the proclamation, annunciation and gospel preaching. It is all about spreading the word of God. In essence, evangelism involves serving and giving to other people. There are various kinds of evangelism, they include; open air, door-to-door, mercy ministry, invitational, testimonial, and intellectual evangelism. It is important to evangelize because it helps to save more lost souls and bring them to light to embrace Christianity. Jesus encourages Christians not to despise sinners and instead evangelize and spread the word of God to them. Moreover, the scripture in the bible mandates each and every believer to evangelize so as to spread Christianity. As evangelists, we should expect hostile opposition from the non-believers that we come across during our evangelism mission. We should expect rejection or even hatred as we evangelize as some people will tend to be against us especially those from other religions. The lifestyle of those people evangelizing is not a prestigious one but a lifestyle of giving, supporting, teaching and preaching the word of God. Those who evangelize live a righteous life and acts as an example to the non-Christians by acting in the ways that are acceptable to Christianity.

The most important thing to share when evangelizing is the faith. Faith in God is the pillar for Christianity. Support those in need, teach them the word of God and share your testimony of Christianity experience to the non-believers. To ensure an effective evangelism, one must first pick a precise time and location, make a preparation of a personal message, prepare appropriate questions to ask, make an invitation to the unsaved person and question to ask, and then prepare yourself for the evangelism. Then during the evangelism give a testimony to them, listen to them, preach and pray to them, give them Bibles and then recommend a church for them. Additionally, during evangelism, on should teach the non-believer the sinners’ prayer. This is a prayer to repent their sins seeking forgiveness from God.
