In life, I tend to apply critical thinking skills whenever I am in trouble and trying to get myself out if. Under such circumstance, critical thinking must apply in order to survive. Similarly, when I am making important life decisions, I must apply critical thinking so as to make good and rational life decisions. Between these two areas, I use the best critical thinking skills when making life decisions such as choosing whether to proceed with my education or drop out. In such a situation, the decision that I will make will definitely impact me significantly. Therefore, as much as the decision will determine my future life, I will use the best critical thinking skills to come up with a good decision that will favor me positively. In essence, I would stand a chance of chance of developing better critical thinking skills in my life when I am in trouble, situations that threaten my well-being or even my life (Norris, 2018). This is a situation when my mind opens up to critically think how I am going to save myself. At this point, my mind is totally focused on saving my life. This is due to the increased adrenaline due to fear of harm than signals the brain to think broadly and faster.
I have developed my own critical thinking skills through challenging life situations that have pushed me to think critically. I hope to gain more and advance critical thinking skills that I would apply in my life that will save improve my life decisions and help me navigate through life challenges smoothly. Critical thinking is applied to our daily life when caring for our health and when deciding to make a purchase. When someone fails to think critically when making purchases, the person can end up wasting a lot of money, get broke and even worse end up in bad debts. When someone does not think critically when making health decisions, such as eating healthy foods, he or she can end up developing health problems and deficiencies.
